As posted on Scottsdale Christian Academy Athletics website:

“The 4-1 Junior Varsity Girls traveled to Chandler to face the 7-0 Valley Christian JV on Saturday afternoon, renewing one of SCA’s oldest and strongest basketball rivalries. The Eagles faced a large, physically imposing and undefeated Trojans squad on their home court who expected to continue to win big against all opponents.”

The Lady Eagles were to much for the Lady Trojans both on offense and defense.  The Lady Trojans struggled to put points on the board the entire game as well as frustrate the opponents offense with their swarming defense. The team entered the game averaging 37.8 points a game, holding their opponents to just 22. Breanna Hungerford, who is the teams spark plug, was stifled by the Lady Eagles tenacious defense, holding the sophomore point guard to zero points. Sophomore swings, Kendhal Moodie and Kirstin Dembleyker attempted to use their physical and imposing ways, but their best efforts to get the team rolling were neutralized with the same intensity from the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Trojans look to jump start their winning ways this Friday against a tough Yuma Catholic squad.
